Why does God allow these terrible kinds of things to happen? As Christians, we know that God has his own reasons. His understanding surpasses our own understanding. His wisdom is greater than our wisdom.
There will be situations in our lives that will frustrate us and reveal our human limitations. In these times, God will gently remind us that we are humans. He will remind us that his timing is perfect, although it may not make any sense to us. 우리의 삶에 전혀 이유도 없이 불행한 일들이 생기면, 우리는 하나님께 왜 이런 일들이 생기게 하셨는지 얼마나 많이 묻습니까? 왜 하나님께서는 이런 끔찍한 일들이 생기게 허락하셨을까요?
그리스도인으로써 우리는 하나님께서 그 이유를 가지고 계심을 알고 있습니다. 그분의 이해심은 우리의 이해심을 능가합니다. 그 분의 지혜는 우리의 지혜보다 더 큽니다.
우리의 삶에 우리를 좌절시키고 우리 인간의 한계를 나타내는 상황이 생길 겁니다. 이런 때, 하나님께서는 조용히 우리가 인간임을 상기시키십니다. 하나님께서는 우리가 비록 이해가 되지는 않지만 그 분의 시간만이 완전하다는 것을 상기시킬 것입니다. 박요섭 원장(교회영어연구원)
