Life in the Spirit's Power

We live either by the Sprit or live by the flesh. It is impossible to do both at the same time. When one is in control the other fights for control.
In this way there is always strife in this life. When we become Christians, we reject the flesh.
But the flesh takes us back for those times. Satan only needs a few moments to ruin our lives.
When the Sprit guides us, we can go in the right direction.
We need the power of the Sprit. He alone can lead us to glory in the Lord. “내가 이르노니 너희는 성령을 좇아 행하라. 그리하면 육체의 욕심을 이루지 아니하리라” (갈라디아서 5:16).
우리는 성령이 아니면 육체의 욕심으로 살아간다. 한꺼번에 둘 다 따라 사는 것은 불가능하다. 한가지 것이 억제되었을 때 다른 하나는 유혹에 대해 싸우게 된다.
이런 식으로 삶 속에는 늘 분쟁이 존재하게 된다. 우리가 믿는 사람들이 될 때, 육체의 욕심을 거부하게 된다. 하지만 육체의 욕심은 우리를 과거로 데려가고자 한다.
사단은 우리의 삶을 파멸시키기 에는 짧은 시간이면 된다. 성령이 우리를 인도할 때 우리는 올바른 방향 속으로 갈 수 있는 것이다. 우리는 성령의 능력을 필요로 한다. 오직 성령만이 우리를 주의 영광으로 인도 할 수 있을 것이다. 박요섭 원장(교회영어연구원)
